SonicRecruit and AberdeenGroup Join Forces to Publish Important Talent Acquisition Study

New research provides employers with key insights into talent acquisition best practices

VANCOUVER, BC – June 21, 2007 – Cytiva Software Inc. (CRX – TSX.V), a leading provider of on-demand talent management software solutions, announced today that the company will underwrite a landmark study by Aberdeen, a Harte-Hanks Company (NYSE: HHS),. The goal of the report is to determine how companies are adopting and adapting talent acquisition strategies in order to gain recruiting efficiencies, achieve differentiated value and win the global war for talent.

The study, titled “The Global War for Talent: Getting What You Want Won’t Be Easy,” is scheduled for publication June 30, 2007 and will be available for limited time beginning June 30th at http://www.sonicrecruit.com/ or at http://www.aberdeen.com/.

Recent Aberdeen research has revealed that 90% of Best in Class companies have aligned talent acquisition to their company’s overall strategic plan, yet 64% of all companies feel pressure to find faster and easier ways to populate their databases with a qualified pool of talent.By redefining the talent recruitment process to include HR, Marketing and LOB managers, and by proactively communicating with prospective talent, companies will be more productive and efficient in job sourcing, and will achieve greater success in attracting and hiring the “best” candidates.

Sourcing and tracking job applicants accurately and efficiently is one thing; making talent acquisition a competitive differentiator is another. In Aberdeen’s June 2006 Talent Acquisition Strategies benchmark study, 82% of companies were investing (or planned to invest) in a talent acquisition strategy, and 53% of Best in Class companies stated their most critical success factor was “quality of hire.” “The Global War for Talent: Getting What You Want Won’t Be Easy,” looks at what an organization can do to streamline its talent acquisition process while at the same time maintain a pipeline of high quality talent and attain top-on-mind status with desired applicants.

“Best-in-Class companies are more than twice as likely to focus their talent acquisition efforts on future workforce planning as industry Laggards,” said Kevin Martin, Research Director, Human Capital Management at Aberdeen Group. “Due in part to this, Best-in-Class companies experience a consistent advantage over other companies in two areas: Knowledge of what skills they seek (based upon traits of top performers among their employee base) and the ability to connect quickly with candidates who meet those desired traits.”

“Our goal is to help companies discover how they can leverage the SonicRecruit talent management system to support a best in class talent acquisition strategy,” said Jason Moreau, President and CEO of Cytiva Software. “This important study provides key insight to help companies make talent acquisition a core competency.”

SonicRecruit’s New Advanced Candidate Search Addresses Major Recruiting Problem

Conceptual, Inflectional and Proximity Searching Added to SonicRecruit’s Already Powerful Candidate Search Functionality

VANCOUVER, BC - June 12, 2007 - Cytiva Software Inc. (CRX:TSX.V), a leading provider of on-demand recruiting software solutions, announced today the addition of powerful new candidate search functionality to its SonicRecruit talent acquisition system.

This new suite of search tools helps recruiters more efficiently find great candidates within their SonicRecruit talent pool. As mid to large sized organizations maximize their talent acquisition efforts through recruiting systems like SonicRecruit, they can quickly build extremely large talent pools that become quite valuable in reducing advertising and recruiting fees. Yet these talent pools are only valuable if an organization can quickly and reliable mine them for crucial skills and qualifications as new positions become available.

According to Kevin Martin, Research Director, Human Capital Management at Aberdeen Group, “the top challenge that companies face when it comes to employees is “finding the right talent when needed.” SonicRecruit’s new conceptual, proximity and inflectional suite of search tools help mine these vast talent pools to uncover instant candidates.

Here’s how they work:

Relevancy Search: The relevancy search looks for a keyword or a combination of keywords and ranks how often they appear, and takes into consideration the size of the candidate profile (a small profile with 10 matches is considered a better match than a huge profile with 11). The relevancy feature is used with regular, proximity, inflectional and conceptual searches.
Proximity Search: The proximity search looks for all keywords and ranks how close they appear to one another, how often they appear, and takes into consideration the size of the candidate profile.

Inflectional Search: The inflectional search looks for male/female and singular/plural versions of a word (i.e., a search for “Actor” returns “Actor, Actress, Actors, Actresses”) and for verb conjugations (i.e., a search for “go” will return “go, going, went, gone”).

Conceptual Search: The conceptual search - which can be used with the regular and inflectional searches - allows clients to create their own customizable thesaurus of synonyms. Group terms together (i.e., “VB, VBScript, Visual Basic” or “Manager, Supervisor, Director”) and a search for one item will return profiles with any other synonym in the group. There’s no limit to the number of groups clients can create.

“For many SonicRecruit clients needing specialized skill sets, the impending talent shortage is already here in a big way,” said Jason Moreau, CEO of Cytiva. “The ability to more quickly locate, communicate with, and hire top talent is a key requirement and these new features will ensure SonicRecruit clients can easily find the right talent when needed.”

The new suite of SonicRecruit search tools is currently available to all SonicRecruit clients.
